Itinerary
Day 1

Arrival in Leh

  • Arrive at Leh Airport (Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport) and transfer to the hotel.
  • Acclimatization to the high altitude of 11,500 ft to avoid AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness).
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring Leh Market and local cafes.
  • Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 2

Leh Local Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Leh:
    • Shanti Stupa – A stunning white-domed stupa with panoramic views of Leh.
    • Leh Palace – A 17th-century royal palace offering historical insights.
    • Hall of Fame – A museum honoring the sacrifices of Indian soldiers.
    • Magnetic Hill – Experience the optical illusion of vehicles moving uphill.
    • Gurudwara Pathar Sahib – A serene Sikh shrine.
    • Sangam (Confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers) – A mesmerizing viewpoint.
  • Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
Day 3

Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

  • Early morning departure for Nubra Valley, crossing the famous Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), one of the highest motorable roads in the world.
  • Visit Diskit Monastery, home to a massive Maitreya Buddha statue.
  • Explore Hunder Sand Dunes and enjoy a thrilling double-humped Bactrian camel ride.
  • Check in to the camp/hotel and relax amidst the breathtaking Nubra landscapes.
  • Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Day 4

Turtuk Excursion (Baltistan Region)

  • After breakfast, take an excursion to Turtuk, the last Indian village near the Pakistan border.
  • Explore the beautiful Balti culture, lush apricot orchards, and wooden houses.
  • Visit the Turtuk Monastery and learn about the region’s historical significance.
  • Enjoy a peaceful walk along the Shyok River before returning to Nubra.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Day 5

Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok Route

  • Depart for Pangong Lake (14,270 ft) via the scenic Shyok Route.
  • Enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and drive alongside the Shyok River.
  • Arrive at the famous Pangong Lake, known for its ever-changing shades of blue.
  • Spend the evening by the lake, witnessing a magical sunset.
  • Overnight stay in camps near Pangong Lake.
Day 6

Pangong to Leh via Chang La

  • Drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass (17,590 ft), one of the highest motorable roads.
  • En route, visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace.

  • Return to Leh for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7

Leh to Kargil via Lamayuru

  • Stop at Lamayuru Monastery, one of Ladakh’s oldest monasteries.
  • Witness the Moonland landscapes, known for their surreal formations.
  • Visit Mulbekh Monastery, famous for its giant Buddha statue carved into rock.
  • Arrive in Kargil, check-in to the hotel, and relax.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Kargil.
Day 8

Kargil to Srinagar via Zoji La – Departure

  • Early morning departure for Srinagar via the scenic Drass Valley, the second coldest inhabited place in the world.
  • Pay homage at the Kargil War Memorial, dedicated to the soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War.
  • Cross the Zoji La Pass (11,575 ft) and enter the lush green valley of Sonamarg.
  • Continue towards Srinagar, where the tour concludes.
  • Drop-off at Srinagar Airport for your onward journey.
