6 Days in Istanbul and Cappadocia
Day wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul
- Following our arrival in Istanbul, we are met at the airport and transferred to our hotel.
- Check-in and relax after the journey.
- Spend the evening at leisure exploring the local area or enjoying the hotel amenities.
- Overnight stay in Istanbul.
Day 2: Istanbul Old City Tour (Breakfast & Lunch)
- After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Istanbul’s historic Old City.
- Visit the Sultanahmet Mosque, known as The Blue Mosque, famous for its stunning blue tiles and impressive architecture.
- Continue to the Hippodrome, the ancient arena that hosted chariot races and social events in Byzantine times.
- Proceed to the Hagia Sophia, an architectural marvel and a symbol of Byzantine and Ottoman grandeur (interior visit with an extra ticket).
- Explore the Topkapi Palace, the former imperial residence of the Ottoman Sultans, filled with treasures and artifacts.
- Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
- End the tour with a visit to the Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s oldest and largest covered markets, offering a vast array of goods.
- Overnight stay in the hotel.
Please note:
- Hagia Sophia interior visits cost 25€ per person extra.
- Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays; visits will be to the State Turkish-Islamic Art Museum instead.
- The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays.
Day 3: Two Continents Tour with Bosphorus Cruise (Breakfast & Lunch)
- Start the day with a visit to the Egyptian Spice Market, a vibrant bazaar filled with spices, herbs, and local delicacies.
- Enjoy a scenic Bosphorus Cruise, sailing between the continents of Europe and Asia, taking in the stunning views of Istanbul’s skyline.
- After lunch, visit the Asian side of Istanbul, including the magnificent Dolmabahce Palace, an opulent Ottoman palace.
- Continue to Camlica Hill for panoramic views of the city and the Bosphorus Strait.
- Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Istanbul.

- This tour is not available on Mondays due to Dolmabahce Palace being closed.
Day 4: Istanbul to Cappadocia (Breakfast)
- After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cappadocia.
- Upon arrival in Cappadocia, transfer to your hotel and check-in.
- Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the unique landscapes or relaxing at the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Cappadocia.
Day 5: Cappadocia Tour (Breakfast & Lunch)
- Optional: Early morning Hot Air Balloon ride over the stunning Cappadocian landscape (additional cost).
- After breakfast, visit the Open Air Museum in Goreme, featuring early Christian churches with unique frescoes.
- Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
- Continue the tour with visits to Uchisar Castle, a natural rock citadel, and the surreal landscapes of Devrent Valley.
- Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cappadocia.
Day 6: Departure from Cappadocia (Breakfast)
- After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Istanbul to connect with your outbound flight.
- Depart Turkey with wonderful memories of your trip.
